Assistant manager Chris Davies says every player in the Celtic squad will be given their chance to impress the new management team regardless of their age.

Brendan Rodgers and his Celtic squad flew out to Slovenia on Monday for the start of a new era at the club as they prepare for their Champions League fixtures next month.

Speaking at the airport, he stressed if a player is good enough they are old enough as several of their younger prospects joined them for the pre-season training camp.

Davies also discussed new targets, existing injuries in the squad and Charlie Mulgrew's contract situation.
