Matt Gilks joins Rangers as Mark Warburton continues to strengthen
The 34-year-old goalkeeper has signed for the Ibrox club ahead of the 2016/17 season.
Rangers have completed the signing of goalkeeper Matt Gilks as a free agent on a two-year deal.
The 34- year-old will travel with the rest of his new teammates to South Carolina for Rangers' pre-season training camp, with the Ibrox club flying out to the United States next week.
Gilks is a Scotland international, picking up three caps for the national team between 2012 and 2013. He will compete for the number one spot at Rangers with Wes Foderingham, who held the jersey at the club last season.
The Rochdale-born shot-stopper has played for his hometown team Rochdale, Norwich City, Blackpool, Shrewsbury Town and Burnley, but this will be the first time that he has played for a club north of the border.
It was at Blackpool that Gilks made the greatest impression, making over 180 appearances for the Bloomfield Road side, playing in the Premier League for a season under Ian Holloway's management.
Since then Gilks has been at Burnley, but was only considered a back-up option to Tom Heaton as the first choice goalkeeper.
