Andy Murray to face Liam Broady in Wimbledon first round opener
The Dunblane ace has landed in the opposite half of the draw to Djokovic and Federer.
Andy Murray will face fellow Brit Liam Broady in the first round of Wimbledon, with the world number two landing in the opposite half of the draw to Novak Djokovic.
The Dunblane ace has also avoided Roger Federer in his half, but could face Stan Wawrinka in the tournament's semi-finals at the All England Club.
Murray hadn't faced a British opponent in 10 years before last week's tournament at Queen's Club, where he was paired against Aljaz Bedene and Kyle Edmund in back-to-back matches.
Now he will come up against Broady, who is currently ranked 234th in the world and was handed a wildcard in order to enter the championships this year.
The Scot could also face Australian Nick Kyrgios in the last 16, with a clash against Richard Gasquet on the cards in the quarter-finals. Those would be challenging ties, but Murray will be grateful to have avoided Djokovic and Federer in his half.
