New Motherwell ace on his Leicester story, Jamie Vardy and Ranieri
Jacob Blyth aims to make a name for himself after spending time with the Premier League champions.
New Motherwell striker Jacob Blyth is aiming to make a name for himself after learning from Jamie Vardy during his time with Leicester City.
The 23-year-old joined the Foxes alongside England striker Vardy before enjoying several loan spells in the country's lower leagues.
Having been inside the camp as Leicester stunned the football world to claim the English Premier League title, Blyth wants to create some memorable moments of his own at Fir Park.
"I signed in the same week he signed so I was quite close to him," Blyth said at a media conference.
"We've got the same sort of background coming from non-league. He has pulled me aside and told me a few things here and there that have been brilliant for my game.
"It was a brilliant experience, just to be training every day with players who were sitting top of the Premier League. For them to go on and win the league was brilliant.
"I've taken loads of tips and advice from players at Leicester and I have really learned off them, the winning mentality they possess.
"I've done four years at Leicester and had several loan spells. I'm at the age where I need to be playing week in, week out."
The striker added: "People like to label me as an old-fashioned centre-forward, your target man.
"I like to hold the ball up, bring players into play, but I also like to run in behind and I'd say I've got a nice little eye for goal as well."
