Lee Wallace has extended his contract at Rangers until the summer of 2019.

The Ibrox skipper's previous deal was due to expire in 2017 with the new deal keeping the left-back at the club for the next three seasons.

Wallace arrived at Rangers from Premiership rivals Hearts in 2011, finding more opportunities in midfield during his first season at the club.

The Edinburgh-born star remained with the Govan men despite following their financial collapse in 2012 and was made vice-captain as Rangers competed in the Third Division.

Wallace assumed the role of captain under Mark Warburton and was instrumental in guiding the club back to the top flight as well as securing a place in the Scottish Cup final.

The former Hearts man is the latest to sign a new contract with Rangers, following similar deals for Andy Halliday and Jason Holt.
