Previous displays against Rangers shows Hibs can win cup says Gray
The Hibernian captain also wants to avenge the Scottish League Cup final defeat.
Hibernian captain David Gray believes previous performances against Rangers this season shows that his club can lift the Scottish Cup.
The two clubs faced off several times over the course of the Scottish Championship season, with Hibs beating their Govan rivals twice.
Gray says that such results show that the Easter Road club can win at Hampden Park on Saturday.
"It's a great thing," he said. "They way we have played against them and SPL clubs over the season shows that we have done well against the bigger teams.
"Both teams will go into the game knowing they are able to win, because both teams have beaten each other.
"I'm expecting it to be a really close game this weekend. We know that if we start well and play as well as we can play we're capable of winning.
"It's the same sort of feeling, dealing with the disappointment from that. Watching someone else go up and lift the trophy was a massive disappointment.
"We're all hurting after that as well. Ever since then we have had that motivation at the back of our minds."
