Hibernian head coach Alan Stubbs is confident the club's recovery programme will help keep his players at their peak during their demanding schedule.

His squad face three games in six days as they look to win promotion to the Scottish Premiership. They face Falkirk in the semi-final play-offs on Tuesday and Friday after knocking Raith Rovers out at the weekend.

Should they progress to the final, where they will play Kilmarnock, they will have another fixture to contend with just four days later.

If this is the case the first leg of the play-off final will have been brought forward by two days to Tuesday, May 17 because Hibs take on Rangers in the Scottish Cup final on Saturday, May 21.

Stubbs explained the players' recovery process to STV and says they have the means to cope with the heavy fixture calender.

"I'm relaxed because the players are making me feel relaxed about it," he said. "We have data that we can look at to see what the players are covering, distance wise, in the games and there doesn't seem to be any tail off from that.

"They're still hitting, and more, kilometres that they have been doing which is, for me, a really good sign.

"Some of it is down to the individual themselves to take responsibility. We have drinks made up for them, they have one to take before bedtime which helps the body recovery while they are sleeping.

"They have one pre-training, post-training and there's drinks that they take to stimulate them. As well as supplements there's ice baths, massages, compression, a lot of things that clubs are doing."
