**Celtic assistant manager has John Collins has confirmed that he will part company with the club at the end of the season, following manager Ronny Deila through the exit door at Parkhead.**Deila announced two weeks ago that he would be leaving his role at the end of the league campaigns, two years after being appointed as Neil Lennon's successor. Collins, who joined as Deila's assistant at the same time, said he would not be continuing to work under the new manager.

"The situation with me is that I'll be going as well," Collins said. "I came with Ronny so I think it's only right and correct that I leave as well.
"The season will end at the weekend and I would imagine I'll be going to pastures new. The new manager will come in and I would imagine he'll bring his own team with him.  That's normal."

Collins, who made over 200 appearances for the club in the 90s, said that while he would he wasn't entirely happy with how things had worked out, he could reflect on two rewarding spells with Celtic.

"Obviously it's disappointing but a lot of people would be delighted to have what I've had," he said. "I've managed to play for the club and be on the coaching team.
"We've got two league titles and a cup so history will dictate if it was good or bad."

Looking back over a two-year period of mixed success in the domestic game and in Europe, he added that he was pleased to be handing the new manager a run of league title wins to build upon.
"There's been lots of highs and of course lows," he said. "That's the nature of the business we're in.
"Of course we all want better and we all want more but we got the title and we've got five-in-a-row so we'll pass the baton on to the next manager and see what he does."
