Celtic's Leigh Griffiths has been named as PFA Player of the Year with teammate Kieran Tierney taking home the Young Player award.

Griffiths won the prize after a season that has seen him fire home the goals that have put Celtic on the brink of retaining the Premier League title.

The striker, who has scored 39 goals this season, was picked out by his fellow professionals as the stand-out player in the league ahead of fellow nominees Jonny Hayes, Kane Hemmings and Greg Stewart.

Tierney capped off a season where he has emerged as one of the country's brightest talents, winning a first team place at Celtic and earning a Scotland cap at the age of 18.

Rangers' Mark Warburton was also a prize-winner, being named as Manager of the Year. The Ibrox boss steered his team to the Championship title, won the Petrofac Cup and earned a place in next month's Scottish Cup final in his first season in Scotland.

Rangers captain Lee Wallace was named as Championship Player of the Year.

Barrie McKay's strike for Rangers in the Scottish Cup semi-final against Celtic won the Goal of the Year award.

Dunfermline's Faissal el Bakhtaou picked up the player gong for League One, while East Fife's Nathan Austin was the best player in League Two this season.
