Celtic manager Ronny Deila says it is too early to judge whether Rangers will be challengers for the Scottish Premiership title next season.

The Ibrox club secured their promotion to the top flight this week, clinching the Scottish Championship title with four games left to play.

Rangers' title success will see them join rivals Celtic in the Premiership next season, although Deila believes their promotion won't have much of an effect on the Hoops.

"It doesn't affect us so much," Deila said ahead of his side's league clash against Motherwell.

"As I have said all the time, now they have shown they are good enough for the top division and if it's Hibs or Rangers or Falkirk we will be ready for it."

When asked whether Rangers will be title challengers next season, he said: "We will see. Again, it's too early to say something about other teams.

"There's a lot of other things to think about.

"That's something you can keep thinking about in the media and I will answer in the end next season.

"We're going to do the same things we have always done, try to improve and right now we are top of the league, we are in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup.

"That's what we're going to focus on."
