Celtic manager Ronny Deila said his side could have used Patrick Roberts more as they were frustrated by Dundee - but said the winger was subject to close attention from opposition defenders.

Dundee held the reigning champions to a 0-0 draw at Dens Park giving Celtic a five-point lead over challengers Aberdeen with six matches remaining.

Deila admitted to being disappointed with the result and reflected that utilising Roberts more could have made a difference. However, he said that the on-loan Manchester City winger who scored twice at the weekend had "one player standing up his a**e all the time".

"It's a little bit disappointing," Deila said. "We should have created more clear-cut chances.

"The last pass and the effectiveness when we first had the ball was not good enough.

"Defensively we played quite well. They had a couple of chances but we had a good goalkeeper in Craig.

"We maybe could have got the ball to Patrick more but, having said that, there was one player standing up his a**e all the time. We should have exploited the space he was creating for us, though."

The Celtic manager said that despite missing the opportunity to open up a more commanding lead over Aberdeen his team still had control over their own destiny.

"We're still in a good position. We have to make ourselves ready for Motherwell on Saturday and work really hard to get the three points there.

"It's always disappointing to lose points but there are a lot of games left and we just have to keep on going.

"Of course we have the key in our hands. Everything is up to ourselves."
