I'm taking risk on Kilmarnock's late double signings says Lee Clark
Miles Addison and Adam Henshall have joined the Rugby Park club as free agents.
Lee Clark admits he is taking a risk by adding Miles Addison and Alex Henshall to his Kilmarnock squad so late in the season.
The duo have joined the Rugby Park side as Clark looks to steer his team away from danger at the foot of the Scottish Premiership table.
Only seven matches of the season remain, giving Addison and Henshall a small window to make an impression, but Clark is hopeful that they can reach full fitness in time to feature prominently.
"It's always a real balancing act," Clark said. "It's different if it's a normal transfer window and you're signing from clubs where these lads are playing competitively, even if it's in under-21 football.
"So we've taken a little bit of a risk with the two of them, but hopefully it will pay off."
Addison last played for Peterborough United, also turning out for Derby County and Bournemouth over the course of his career.
"We know what they are about and what Miles brings in terms of leadership qualities," Clark continued.
"We need characters, we need leaders in and around the group, in the dressing room.
"Miles will bring that and we're hoping Alex will give us a little bit of explosive pace at the top end of the pitch. He can be creative at that end of the field."
