Mark Warburton admits Rangers guilty of complacency in Falkirk loss
The Championship leaders blew a two goal lead against the Bairns on Friday night.
Mark Warburton admitted his Rangers team were guilty of complacency as they blew a two goal lead to lose 3-2 to Falkirk.
The Championship leaders found themselves two goals to the good after just nine minutes. They were good value for the lead too as they found top form quickly.
However, Blair Alston pulled one back for the hosts with 18 minutes left to play, with Myles Hippolyte netting an equaliser soon after.
And Bob McHugh scored a stoppage-time winner for the Bairns, completing an unlikely comeback.
Warburton said: "What we did well we just stopped doing. We started really brightly, we talked about moving the ball quickly, maintaining shape in the wide areas.
"We were two up and, with respect, could have been five, six, seven. Should have been.
"There were a couple of warning signs, some loose passes and we spoke at half-time about taking care of the football, keep moving it, and inexplicably we didn't do that.
"As a group of players we have gone from nine out of 10 to four out of 10, which can't happen, hasn't happened. They have been outstanding all season but we have to learn from that second half because for 30 minutes we were poor.
"They were playing so well in the first half that it was almost too easy. Peter knows what I mean by that.
"In the second half the players took an extra touch, they thought they could afford to. We are very good when we move the ball quickly."
Warburton's team were watched by Celtic boss Ronny Deila ahead of their meeting in the William Hill Scottish Cup semi-finals.
When asked what Deila would have taken from the game, Warburton said: "I don't mind... I hope he enjoyed the game."
