Scotland have made three changes for their Six Nations match, against Ireland in Dublin.

Ryan Wilson returns at number 8 in Vern Cotter's starting XV, replacing Glasgow Warriors teammate Josh Strauss, who drops to the bench.

Tim Swinson comes in for the injured Jonny Gray at lock, while the powerhouse front row of Alasdair Dickinson, Ross Ford and WP Nel starts the fifth match in a row.

Duncan Weir comes in at fly half for Finn Russell, who has failed to recover from a concussion suffered against France last weekend.

Alex Dunbar is retained beside Duncan Taylor as the midfield partnership, with on-form Stuart Hogg at full back beside wingers Tommy Seymour and Tim Visser.

Rob Harley is in line to make his first appearance of the tournament, listed as a replacement second row on the bench, while scrum-half Henry Pyrgos is also handed a replacement shirt ahead of Sam Hidalgo-Clyne.

Head coach Cotter said: "We were pleased with our sustained effort against France.

"I was happy with the way we adapted to losing Finn Russell so early in the game. The team came together and was rewarded for their endeavour with the end result.

"The challenge for us now is to keep constructing our game and enjoy the last coming together of the championship in a Scotland jersey, against an Ireland team full of confidence after a convincing win over Italy."
