Queen's Park pushed themselves into the Scottish League Two title race with a 3-0 victory over East Fife.

The Fifers went into the game top of the table but they were unable to force the issue in an uneventful first half.

John Carter broke the deadlock 10 minutes into the second half for Queen's Park with a low finish before Paul Woods and Chris Duggan scored in stoppage time to add gloss to the scoreline.

Queen's Park remain third but they are now just two points behind East Fife, who are down to second, and four adrift of new leaders Elgin.

Elgin moved top of Scottish League Two after seeing off rock-bottom East Stirling 2-0.

After a lifeless first 45 minutes, Elgin took control just after the hour-mark with Craig Gunn winning a penalty after drawing a foul from Ross Fisher in the box.

Gunn rifled the spot-kick home into the bottom-left corner and Brian Cameron put the result beyond doubt with a goal three minutes from time.

Elgin now sit two points clear of East Fife, beaten at Queen's Park, at the top of the table while East Stirling - who mustered just one shot on target - remain bottom and are now five points behind Berwick.

Berwick gave themselves extra breathing room at the bottom of Scottish League Two with a 1-0 win over Montrose.

The hosts tried to force the issue as both Jordan McGregor and Blair Henderson went close to an early breakthrough but Montrose managed to keep them at bay until half-time.

It looked like being a frustrating afternoon for the hosts but Henderson rose highest to head home Finn Graham's cross after 72 minutes for what could be a huge goal for Berwick.

Berwick are now five points clear of bottom side East Stirling and they are just three points behind eighth-placed Montrose.

Stirling clinched a 2-2 draw at Annan with a stunning second-half fightback that keeps their Scottish League Two play-off hopes alive.

Lewis Guy opened the scoring with a left-footed drive from an acute angle after 29 minutes and Josh Todd made it 2-0 four minutes after the break.

Lewis Mclear pulled one back for Stirling just before the hour mark and Sean Dickinson completed the comeback with 13 minutes remaining from the spot after Peter Watson handled.

Stirling remain sixth, three points behind Annan, who slip down to fifth.

Clyde moved into the Scottish League Two play-off places with a fortuitous 1-0 win at Arbroath in a game which saw both teams finish with 10 men.

When Ricky Little saw red for the first time this season for a professional foul on Gormley after 34 minutes it looked like Arbroath had a mountain to climb.

But in first-half stoppage time Gormley was given his marching orders too for serious foul play after clashing with Craig Wilson.

It took until the 72nd minute for the deadlock to be broken, with Wilson putting through his own net.

Clyde leapfrog Annan to take the final play-off place while Arbroath remain seventh.
