Julien Faubert signs for Kilmarnock until end of season
The former Real Madrid midfielder has joined the Rugby Park side as a free agent.
Former Real Madrid and West Ham midfielder Julien Faubert has signed for Kilmarnock until the end of the season.
The 32-year-old has spent time training with the Rugby Park side this week and has now signed terms on a deal to play for Lee Clark's side until the summer.
Faubert spent time on trial with St Johnstone earlier this month, featuring in a development squad match against Hearts.
But Tommy Wright confirmed that the midfielder had left the Perth club to consider other offers.
Faubert has now become Clark's first signing as Kilmarnock manager following his appointment nearly two weeks ago.
The midfielder has been without a club since leaving French Ligue 1 side Bordeaux last year, also playing for Cannes, West Ham and Elazıgspor.
Faubert was involved in one of the most intriguing transfers of recent times, joining Real Madrid on loan despite only making eight appearances for West Ham.
In Spain Faubert played just twice, returning to West Ham after just six months. At Upton Park he struggled with injuries, but still played 124 times for the Hammers, scoring twice.
