Former Real Madrid midfielder Julien Faubert and defender Ben Gordon have started training with Kilmarnock.

Faubert, 32, spent last week with St Johnstone, and featured in a development squad match against Hearts.

Tommy Wright confirmed on Monday Faubert had left the club to consider other offers, one he believed to be in America.

He has now joined up with new Kilmarnock boss Lee Clark at Rugby Park and could be the Englishman's first signing since taking over last week.

Meanwhile, St Johnstone have signed 27-year-old Bulgarian centre-back Plamen Krachunov until the end of the season.

Lee Clark will also take a look at former Killie defender Ben Gordon during training this week.

Clark signed the 24-year-old defender during his spell at Birmingham boss with the left back aiming to secure a third stint at Rugby Park having helped the Ayrshire side win the League Cup in 2012.
