Wes Foderingham: Rangers will have to strengthen squad if promoted
The goalkeeper believes the squad needs strength and depth for the Scottish Premiership.
Rangers keeper Wes Foderingham believes his side will have to strengthen their squad if they win promotion to the Scottish Premiership.
The Ibrox club sit top of the Championship, leading Hibernian, who have a game in hand, by eight points.
His manager Mark Warburton has already admitted he will be looking to bring in up to six new signings if they are to make the step up to the top flight this summer.
Foderingham agrees they will need to do business in the transfer window in order for Rangers to challenge with the sides in the division above.
"Obviously you're going to need better quality because you're going into a better league," he said.
"We're going to need a lot more strength and depth, but that's competition for places.
"You want to be at a club that strives to get better, if you're scared of competition you're in the wrong business.
"Strong additions can only help the squad build and try and push for the title next season, not just this season.
"You've got to obviously plan for the season ahead and strengthen where you can."
