Hamilton have finalised a deal to bring French striker Oumar Diaby to the club until the end of the season.

Diaby is a free agent after being released by Bulgarian club Levski Sofia last week before the transfer window shut.

Manager Martin Canning had been on the hunt for a new forward following Christian Nade's departure to Dumbarton and he has been impressed with the 25-year-old's credentials.

The attacker was at Rugby Park on Saturday to watch his new team-mates secure a 1-0 victory over Kilmarnock.

Diaby started his career in his homeland before moving to Slovakia with FC Kosice.

After three years with the club, he moved to Sofia in the summer of 2015 but failed to make an impression in the first team.
