Rangers completed a loan deal for Hearts attacker Billy King on Thursday, and they are looking to dip their toes in the loan market once more.

The Ibrox club are close to securing Southampton youngster Harrison Reed until the end of the season, further strengthening Mark Warburton's squad.

Celtic's interest in Manchester City youngster Patrick Roberts was reported earlier this week, but now Ronny Deila has placed his cards on the table.

The Norwegian is only interested in a long-term loan deal for Roberts, with the Premier League club only offering the 18-year-old on a six-month deal at present.

Meanwhile, Derek Riordan is joining up with Jackie McNamara at York City, signing for the Football League side until the end of the season.
