Andy Murray into Australian Open third round with straight sets win
The British number one swept past Australia's Sam Groth with a 6-0 6-4 6-1 victory in Melbourne.
Andy Murray swept into the third round of the Australian Open with a thumping straight sets win over Australia's Sam Groth.
The British number one needed just one hour and 30 minutes to see off Groth in Melbourne, securing his passage into the next stage of the season's first Grand Slam.
Groth possesses the fastest serve ever recorded in the sport, but was broken in his first four service games by the Scot as Murray raced to a 6-0 first set lead.
The second set was more competitive, but Murray still took it 6-4 to give himself a commanding lead in the match.
And he saw out the victory in straight sets by clinching the third set 6-1.
The Dunblane ace will now face Portugal's Joao Sousa in the last 32 of the Australian Open - a player he has faced in Melbourne in three of the last four years.
