Scotland's new MSPs have had their first day at Holyrood since Thursday's election.

The MSPs spent the day registering at the parliament, getting their parliamentary office and learning more about what their role will involve.

On Thursday, all MSPs will individually swear an oath of allegiance to the Queen on the floor of the debating chamber. Members can opt to take the oath in a language other than English.

Later that day the new MSPs will elect a presiding officer to chair Holyrood's debates and business for the next five years.
