A man was airlifted to hospital after being badly injured on a farm in Aberdeenshire.

The incident, which is not believed to be suspicious, happened in the Maud area on Friday morning.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson confirmed that the 59-year-old was flown to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were made aware a 59-year-old man was airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary this morning after being injured on a farm."
