Flooding risk as thunderstorms to batter parts of Scotland
A yellow weather warning has been issued for Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray.
Thunderstorms are expected to batter parts of Scotland.
The severe showers could bring flooding to homes and disrupt transport in the north-east on Friday.
A yellow weather warning has been issued for Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray from noon until 7pm.
It comes after 16 warnings were put in place across the country in June while Ballater in Aberdeenshire was hit by flash floods.
STV weather presenter Sean Batty said: "Thunderstorms are to develop in parts of the north-east today with the focus expected to be around Moray and Aberdeenshire.
"Large cumulonimbus clouds will bubble up in the afternoon warmth and this may lead to heavy downpours and large accumulations of rainfall over a short period.
"This may lead to localised flooding issues."
