A woman has died following a two vehicle crash involving two motorbikes near Braemar.
The 65-year-old was a passenger on the BMW motorcycle, which collided with a Triumph on the A93 around five miles south of Braemar on Sunday.
Police Scotland is investigating the cause of the crash, which happened at around 12.50am.
Sergeant Peter Henderson said: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of those involved with this collision.
"An investigation into the circumstances is underway and I would appeal to anyone who saw either vehicle in the lead up to this incident - or indeed the collision itself - to contact us."
The A93 was shut for several hours following the crash between Blairgowrie and Braemar.
