V&A architect given honorary degree from Dundee University
Snow Patrol singer Gary Lightbody is also being honoured by the university.
V&A architect Kengo Kuma has been awarded an honorary degree from Dundee University.
As well as designing the anticipated V&A Dundee that is set to open in September, Mr Kunga is also behind the design of the National Stadium for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
Snow Patrol singer Gary Lightbody and the university's former chancellor Lord Naren Patel are also among those being honoured at the university's summer graduation held from Wednesday to Friday.
Principal and vice-chancellor of the university, professor Sir Pete Downes, said: "Our honorary graduates are all inspirational figures who have made great impact in their fields, from founding charities and carrying out ground breaking research, to designing landmark buildings and reaching the highest levels of the legal world.
"I am particularly pleased that once again we are able to honour those who studied here at Dundee and have gone on to such great things.
"Our aim is to enable our graduates to make a difference in the world, and these people have all done that in an extraordinary fashion."
Among the other honorary graduates that are being awarded the accolade at Caird Hall are Dr Zipporah Ali, executive director of Kenya Hospices and Palliative Care association, and Margaret Grant, founder of Dundee-based charity The Brittle Bone Society.
