Camperdown Park celebrates 70th birthday of the NHS
Parkrun for the NHS is a national initiative to celebrate the anniversary.
A parkrun is being held in Camperdown Park this Saturday to mark the 70th birthday of the NHS.
The initiative, known as "parkrun for the NHS" aims to recognise the contribution of the NHS to the health of the nation.
Participants are being encouraged to go along dressed as healthcare providers like doctors, nurses, physios, porters and surgeons.
Camperdown parkrun run director and NHS Tayside consultant, Dr Tom Fardon, said, "We would love to see members of the public coming along and take part.
"We'd also love to see as many NHS staff as possible on the day to walk, run, volunteer or simply receive a well earned round of applause for the incredible contribution they make to our community."
Runners are to meet at Camperdown Park at 9.25am on Saturday.
