Speeding motorcyclist caught travelling at 104mph
The 28-year-old man was caught speeding on a 70mph zone on the A90.
A motorcyclist has been charged by police after being caught driving at 104mph.
The 28-year-old man was clocked travelling at 104mph in a 70mph zone on the A90 near Murcar on Friday, June 1.
It is anticipated the biker will appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court at a later date.
Road policing sergeant Stuart Lawrence said: "The rider was stopped as part of Police Scotland's motorcycle safety campaign, which aims to improve rider behaviour and reduce the number of riders injured in collisions.
"As the good weather continues, more motorcyclists are taking to the roads.
"Police Scotland wants to see them enjoying their time out and about, but more importantly wants to see them make it home safely.
"I would urge riders to consider the personal consequences of taking any risks, reduce their speed, and obey the rules of the road.
"Officers will continue to interact with riders to educate them and enforce legislation where appropriate."
