Science and technology festival aims to inspire children
The Angus STEM festival features workshops, presentations and science shows.
A new festival in Arbroath aims to get children interested in science and engineering.
The Angus STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) festival features workshops and presentations from local colleges, universities and employers.
Attendees will also be able to take part in free interactive science shows from the Sensations Science Centre, Aberdeen Science Centre and Generation Science.
For budding detectives, meanwhile, Dundee and Angus College's double decker science bus will be running CSI Science workshops.
Organisers hope the event will inspire young people to consider a career in the technology sector.
The festival takes place at Arbroath Academy on Saturday from 10am to 2pm. All primary pupils attending must be accompanied by an adult, but pupils from secondary schools can attend unaccompanied.
