Three charged after illegal drugs seized by police
Heroin, crack cocaine and diazepam were recovered by officers.
Three people have been charged after police seized illegal drugs in Aberdeenshire.
The first two arrests came after police stopped a 35-year-old Sheffield man in Fraserburgh on Wednesday.
After recovering heroin, crack cocaine and cannabis valued at around £2000 the man and a 20-year-old local woman were arrested.
On the same day, a 34-year-old woman from Aberdeenshire was arrested after police found heroin and diazepam worth £800 at a house in Ellon.
All three individuals are scheduled to appear in court in the coming days.
Detective sergeant Sam Buchan said: "We are committed to tackling those intent on supplying drugs to our communities under Operation Aspen and will proactively target those who are determined to bring drugs to this area with the sole purpose of making money.
"We rely on the support of our communities and members of the public and if you have any information regarding the supply of drugs in your community, I urge you to contact us."
