Fundraising daredevils are taking on a 12-15ft walk over hot coals for charity.

Pounds for Paws is holding the event on Friday to raise funds for the Scottish SPCA.

The Walk of Champions reaches temperatures exceeding 800 degrees Celsius.

Over the course of the event, participants will be guided by instructor, author and mind coach Brian Costello.

Pounds for Paws says the demand for the animal charity is at an all-time high after receiving almost 250,000 calls in 2017.

The fire walk event will take place at Scotland's Rural College Aberdeen campus on May 25 from 6.30pm to 9.30pm.

Organisers of the event said: "Walking on fire has been a rite of passage for many centuries and now it is your turn to take part in this ancient ritual.

"During this incredible, unforgettable evening you will learn how to conquer fear and how our minds can be turned to confidence and certainty in any situation.

"You'll spend an evening dreaming of the future you want with like minded people ready to push you to achieving everything you ever wanted."
