A fund for the children of a man who died after being hit by a car in Dundee has raised more than £5000.
Scott Millar died in hospital after the incident on Argyllgait in the early hours of Monday May 7.
Friends of the 33-year-old have now set up a fund to raise cash for Mr Millar's family.
On the fund's website, they wrote: "We lost our dear friend Scott this week; a piece of our lives now missing. Now with the angels, he was too good for this earth - he genuinely was.
"A man of honesty, humility and one of the most caring people we have ever met, just throw in a pinch of charm and you got him.
"Taken too early in life, we have set up this page to support his two children and ask for your support.
"If you ever had the honour of Scott's company then please contribute to this fundraiser with as much as you can to make a difference in his children's lives."
Friends and colleagues have all contributed to the fund, which shot past its initial target of £2000 within just two days.
Every penny raised will go to Mr Millar's family, the fundraisers said.
In the days following Mr Millar's death police arrested a 17-year-old boy and charged him with a number of road traffic offences.
He has been released from custody pending a future court appearance.
