Robert Gordon University is "delighted" to be taking part in a global leadership event for the fourth year.

The institution is working with organisers Total Perspectives to host the Leadercast 2018 conference at Aberdeen's Hilton Treetops hotel on Friday.

Attendees will hear from international speakers both live and via online feeds.

An estimated 100,000 viewers around the world are expected to watch the event.

Elizabeth Gammie, head of Aberdeen Business School at RGU, said: "The students of today will drive the economy forward.

"So it is important that they get the opportunity to hear from industry as part of their academic learning, helping them to build the strength of character needed to make a success of their business ideas."

This year, Total Perspectives has taken on RGU public relations student Rebecca Skinner to co-ordinate their marketing.

She said: "Being involved in such a high-calibre event and seeing it come together from the beginning has been invaluable and I feel it is really helping me prepare myself for a future career in PR."

According to Total Perspectives director Edosa Akioya, the theme of this year's event is "Lead Yourself".

"We're very excited to partner with RGU in bringing this conference to Aberdeen for the fourth year in a row," he added.
