Detectives return to scene of attempted armed robbery
Police are searching for for a man seen running away from the newsagents after the incident.
Detectives investigating an attempted armed robbery at a Dundee newsagents have returned to the scene.
At around 12.15pm on Wednesday, April 25 a man entered the newsagents at Dundonald Street and brandished a knife at the shop keeper.
The shop keeper was shocked but unhurt by the incident, and nothing was taken.
Police Scotland say extensive enquiries have already been carried out into the incident, including door-to-door and CCTV reviews.
By returning to the scene of the crime, it was hoped that further witnesses who may have seen or heard suspicious activity would be identified.
Detective constable Iain McIntosh said: "Extensive enquiries have already been carried out into the incident, including door to door and CCTV reviews and it is hoped that by returning to the scene today it will help to identify further witnesses who may have seen or heard suspicious activity, before, during or after the crime.
'We are keen to trace a man who is described as five feet six inches tall, wearing a dark hooded top, grey jogging bottoms, with dark trainers and had his face covered.
"He was last seen to run off in the direction of Court Street."
