Memorial service held for parents who have lost a child
The service is being held on Thursday night at Dundee University Chaplaincy Centre.
A memorial service is being held for parents and relatives who have lost a child.
The service, at Dundee University Chaplaincy Centre, will include music, poems, prayer, reflection time and the lighting of candles in memory of those who have died.
It has been organised by NHS Tayside's department of spiritual care with support from the stillbirth and neonatal death charity Sands.
Anyone who has lost a child is invited to attend the service, which begins at 7.30pm on Thursday.
Andrew Bennett, healthcare chaplain at NHS Tayside said: "The death of a child, whether before birth or after birth, is an experience that causes great emotional pain and distress for family and friends.
"The children's memorial service is a valued opportunity to gather with others who have had similar experiences in a supportive environment to pause and to reflect.
"It offers space to acknowledge your loss and to renew precious memories."
Refreshments will be served after the service.
