Dundee City Council is being urged to rebuild a community centre which was destroyed by a fire last summer.

A councillor for Mill o'Mains is urging his colleagues to discuss replacing the area's pavilion.

Local residents are demanding action is taken to restore the facility, they say, was at the heart of their community.

Mill O Mains Community Pavilion chairperson Yvonne Mullen said: "We had lots of different group, children groups, mums and toddlers groups, pensioners groups, we had disabled children groups here, we had disabled adults groups here.

"So where are all those people now? We've lost contact with those groups.

"The impact has been quite big.

"There's no heart in the community, it's gone."
