Organisers of Dundee's first Design Month have announced their line-up of more than 50 events, including a street parade.

Throughout May, the city will celebrate its growing status as a centre for design and innovation.

Events include activities, workshops, exhibitions, tours, talks and festivals taking place from May 4 until June 3.

Several events will focus on the year of young people including a street parade at City Square on May 26.

Over the past few months, groups of young people across Dundee have been creating flags, banners and puppets for the event.

A spokesperson for the event said: "Unlike anything that Dundee has seen before, the Dundee Design Parade will be a riot of colour and noise weaving its way around the city centre to celebrate Dundee's place in the global family of UNESCO Creative Cities in this, Scotland's Year of Young People 2018."

The programme has been organised by the team behind Dundee's UNESCO City of Design designation and the Design Festival, which is now in its third year.
