Locals urged to donate to food bank running out of supplies
Instant Neighbour's food bank on St Machar Drive says it is in 'desperate need'.
An Aberdeen MSP is asking the public to make donations to a food bank that is running out of supplies.
Instant Neighbour's food bank on St Machar Drive has called out to the public saying it is in "desperate need" of main meals, pasta sauces, tinned vegetables, rice, tea bags, coffee, biscuits and tinned fruit.
Mark McDonald has opened up his constituency office for food bank donations to make it easier for locals to donate.
"Instant Neighbour's food bank is a lifeline to so many people in Aberdeen," he said.
"I hope that opening up my constituency office for donations it will be easier for residents to donate to the food bank.
"It saddens me that some people in this city depend on the support of food banks to live, however, for as long as this continues to be the case we should call upon the generosity of members of the public to ensure that those in need of support do not go hungry.
"I urge everyone who is able to, to donate to Instant Neighbour, either at their premises on St Machar Drive or at the donation box in my constituency office."
