A motorcyclist who died in a crash with a car has been named.

David Robertson died in the smash on the A923 Coupar Angus to Blairgowrie road in Perth and Kinross.

The 32-year-old, from Blairgowrie, who was riding a green Kawasaki motorbike, passed away at the scene at 5.25pm on Thursday.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Anyone who saw a green and black motor cycle or a black Ford Kuga car in the vicinity around that time is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.

"As with all sudden deaths a report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal."
