First Aberdeen bus driver strike action suspended
Drivers were due to strike on Friday over changes to drivers' terms and conditions.
An indefinite strike by bus drivers at First Aberdeen, which was due to start on Friday, has been suspended pending a vote on a new offer from the company.
The Unite union has been in dispute over changes to drivers' terms and conditions.
The bus company has now made a new offer which drivers will be asked to vote on over the next few days.
Unite regional officer Willie Wallace said: "From the union's point of view there has been a significant enough shift in the company's position to justify putting the new offer to the First Bus drivers.
"Of course it will be for the members to decide whether they think the new offer has been sufficiently improved to justify accepting it."
Around 300 staff have already staged a series of stoppages over the past few weeks.
The company's apologised to passengers for the disruption caused.
