New gin flavour created exclusively for Fife food festival
The limited edition gin will take two months to develop for the Crail Food Festival.
A new Fife gin is being produced exclusively for this year's Crail Food Festival, with proceeds going to charity.
Mixologists from St Andrews restaurant and experts from Eden Mill will create the new flavour by using Mara Seaweed gathered from the Fife coastline and botanicals from the Ardross farm shop.
It will take two months to develop the limited edition beverage and will make its debut at the festive in June.
Now in its eight year, the event in the East Neuk of Fife will celebrate two days of local food, drink, chefs' workshops and live music.
Crail village is famous for its traditional harbour, where local fishermen still land shellfish from the Firth of Forth.
Aadam Mohammed, Crail Food Festival's new manager said: "Crail Food Festival has been a phenomenal success and our refreshed programme reflects this.
"We've introduced greater capacity so that more people than ever before can experience our lineup of world-class chefs and special areas for visitors to relax and savour the produce on offer."
