Scotland's newly devolved employability services have started being delivered across the north east.

The Scottish Government's £96m service, Fair Start Scotland, will deliver locally targeted employment support for people further from the job market.

The north east service will be delivered by Momentum.

Head of operations at Momentum, Stephen Black, said: "We are delighted to launch the Fair Start Scotland service for the people of Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

"Fair Start Scotland will enable Momentum to continue to build on the positive work and strong relationships that we currently have in the north east whilst providing a high quality service that delivers sustained job, treating people with fairness, dignity and respect."

Employability minister Jamie Hepburn said: "This service has been designed nationally and tailored to Scotland's needs.

"While the standard of service provision will be consistent across the country, it is being delivered locally meaning that Fair Start Scotland support reflects the needs of the local economy and employers."
