Shopping centre opens 'Lift of Love' for Valentine's Day
The lift in Aberdeen's Union Square has a huge love heart with the words 'propose here'.
An Aberdeen shopping centre is running a 'Lift of Love' where shoppers can propose to each other to celebrate Valentine's day this week.
Union Square staff member, Barry Munro, choose the lift as the perfect spot to propose to his girlfriend Tracey Hudson on Monday.
He placed a love heart shaped sign with the words 'propose here' in the lift for when he popped the question.
To celebrate their engagement, the centre has decide to leave the sign up for any couples who are feeling the love on Valentine's day.
Union Square Marketing Manager Lynne McInnes said: "We are thrilled that such a spontaneous proposal between staff members happened in one of our lifts - it's so romantic!
"In celebration of their engagement, and to encourage shoppers to get down on one knee, our Lift of Love is ready this Valentine's Day for customers to pop the question to their other half."
