Celebrate Aberdeen parade to return for 'biggest year yet'
The event marks the work of local charities, social enterprises and voluntary groups.
Organisers of Aberdeen's annual celebratory parade are hoping this year will be their biggest yet.
Celebrate Aberdeen will return to the city's Union Street on Saturday, August 25.
The event, first launched in 2011, marks the work of local charities, social enterprises and voluntary groups, musicians and city sports groups.
More than 150 organisations took part in the celebratory parade along Union Street last year and organisers would like to hear from as many as possible before the cut-off date for registration on April 27.
Morven Mackenzie from Celebrate Aberdeen said: "Preparations are well underway for this year's event already which we hope will build on the success of last year.
"We are delighted to have another parade this year and we are working on plans for activities and performances throughout the weekend, which will be fun for all the family."
Ms Mackenzie added: "To ensure that it does, we need as many third sector groups, sports groups and musicians as possible to sign up.
"The organisations that are on board already are remarkable in the work they carry out, and being able to offer them an opportunity to celebrate and gather support is great."
