A man has died in hospital after suffering serious injuries in a car crash.

Gregory Edgar was a passenger in a car driving on the A926 between Alyth and Blairgowrie last Friday when the collision took place.

The 33-year-old from Alyth was taken to Ninewells hospital in Dundee after the crash where he died six days later.

A report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Our thoughts are with his family at this time."
