Man punched to ground in attack outside cathedral
The victim was assaulted outside St Paul's in Dundee during the early hours of Saturday.
A man has been taken to hospital following an unprovoked attack outside a cathedral.
The victim was punched in the face by a man, aged between 18-24, on Dundee's High Street around 3am on Sunday.
After knocking the man to the ground the suspect, who was part of a larger group, made off towards the direction of Overgate.
The victim was assisted by friends and members of the public before being taken to hospital for treatment.
Officers investigating the incident that took place outside St Paul's Cathedral have appealed for information.
They are looking to trace a man described as around 5ft 11ins tall with a slim build and dark hair shaved at the sides.
He was wearing a black North Face puffer-style jacket at the time of the assault.
