NHS Tayside sexual and reproductive health service has been awarded the Gold LGBT Youth Scotland Charter Mark.

Men only Tayside (MOT) and HIV services were also included in the award that was presented by Angela Houghton, partnership manager for LGBT Youth Scotland.

The award recognises NHS Tayside's commitment to all local LGBT people, ensuring fair treatment and support.

Dr Ciara Cunningham, consultant and lead for the MOT service, said: "We are delighted to be the first service in NHS Tayside to win the prestigious Gold LGBT charter mark award and hope that this inspires other services to achieve the same recognition.

"It makes it clear to other organisations, service users and the public that equality and diversity is at the heart of our services and reassures people that our workplace is safe and supportive."
