Motorists face delays for nine weeks during AWPR works
A section of the U88K Fishermyre to Clayfolds Road in Aberdeenshire will be closed from Monday.
Motorists face delays for up to nine weeks while finishing works take place on an Aberdeenshire road.
A section of the Fishermyre to Clayfolds Road will be closed from Monday as part of the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route (AWPR) project.
Connections between the new and existing roads will be completed, as well as verges and drainage works.
When the route reopens it will enable road users to travel under the AWPR.
A Transport Scotland spokesperson said: "This closure of the U88K Fishermyre to Clayfolds Road is necessary to enable the contractor to carry out finishing works, while enhancing the safety of road users and road workers.
"We would like to encourage drivers who would consider using this route to plan their journey in advance, and to allow themselves additional travelling time so that they can reach their destination safely and on time.
"We thank road users and the local community in advance for their patience during this period."
