Raffle winner hands back £2500 prize to animal charity
The anonymous prize-winner bought their raffle ticket at the PDSA in Angus.
A pet lover from Angus has been hailed a real secret Santa after handing back a £2500 raffle win to animal charity PDSA.
The anonymous prize-winner bought their raffle ticket at the charity's shop in Arbroath.
They then donated their winnings back to the PDSA, which will be used to help poorly animals at its pet hospital in Dundee.
Shop manager Angela Burnett said: "It's wonderful news that one of our customers scooped a prize in the raffle and has generously donated it back to PDSA.
"This will be a real boost for poorly pets, as we don't receive any government funding for our services."
Dundee PDSA pet hospital senior vet, Andy Cage said: "On behalf of all the poorly pets, a massive thank you to our mystery supporter.
"Every December, PDSA cares for 50,000 pets in need across the UK.
"Without such generous supporters, we wouldn't be able to provide our vital service and deliver the critical care needed to help sick and injured pets."
