Shoppers receive Christmas gifts from kind strangers
They were given card with cash inside from an unknown group on Arbroath.
Shoppers in Arbroath were gifted Christmas cards containing cash by a group who wanted to spread some festive cheer.
A woman delivered the cards to unsuspecting shoppers at Morrisons over the weekend as a random act of kindness.
The recipient was encouraged to open the envelope, which contained either a £10 or £20 note from The Big Light Group Arbroath.
Little is known about the group so people took to social media to thank them for their generosity.
Charlotte Amy said her grandmother was given one of the cards.
She posted: "I cannot seem to find The Big Light Group but thank you so, so much for your generosity.
"My nan has been having a hard time recently and you have really made her day.
"You are all wonderful people! Again thank you so so much."
Jamie-Lee MacReady also received an envelope that she said "nearly had me in tears".
She posted: "Last night I go to Morrisons to grab a few things and I was standing at checkout and a lovely lady came up to me with her daughter and handed me an envelope.
"She asked me to open it and when I did there was a beautiful card with £20 inside.
"They nearly had me in tears. Can't thank them enough."
